The Artist
I’m JanelleMarie, an oil painter with a passion for bold color, rich texture, and celebrating the beauty of nature and femininity. My work is inspired by the quiet strength of cacti, the softness of florals, and the many moods of womanhood, often all blooming together on the same canvas.
When I’m not elbows-deep in paint, I’m usually being supervised by my two very opinionated studio assistants (aka my cats). I’m new to sharing my art with the community, but creating has always been a part of who I am: a way to connect, reflect, and play.

The Assistants
Pickle, a sleek domestic short hair with a heart full of mischief, is talented at finding trouble with absolutely no shame about it. He’s the self-appointed direct overseer of everything I do, especially when it involves art supplies. If I’m working with oil paints, he’s either supervising from an uncomfortably close distance or actively attempting to “collaborate” (usually with a paw in the palette).
He’s playful, nosy, and somehow always in the exact place he should be. Destruction is part of his charm, and despite the chaos, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life with Pickle means constant curiosity, surprise messes, and a very persistent furry manager watching my every move.
The Assistants
Peanut is my domestic short hair cat and the princess of the house. She’s sweet in her own mysterious way, but don’t be fooled: she’s got high standards, especially when it comes to my artwork. Every piece gets a final inspection, complete with a slow blink of approval or a flick of the tail if it’s not up to par.
She shares a home with her brother, whom she resolutely pretends doesn’t exist. It’s not hostility; it’s more like dignified indifference. She brings elegance and quiet judgment to every corner she graces.
